Many shows and sitcoms known to the public don’t only have one version. If you watch an American version of a show, that doesn’t mean that another version from across the world isn’t making others as happy as you. This fact is beyond true with the Saudia Arabian version of the beloved comedy sitcom, The Office. Tune in and see why this version is seemingly identical to the one people have enjoyed for so long!
The US Verison of the Sitcom
There are countless fans of the original British sitcom, The Office, as well as its overly successful US version, and they have been commenting about the Saudi Arabian version. Just as fans fell in love with David Brent and his antics in the British version more than 20 years ago, and again with the funny moments from Steve Carell and his office compadres, fans will surely take to the new version as well!
The Office From Saudi Arabia
The Saudi Arabian version of the beloved sitcom, Al Maktab, began filming in June of 2022, and there have been countless trailers and clips spreading over social media and the internet. The senior VP of format Sales for BBC Studios, Andre Renault, suggests that although office work may look different for many nowadays, it’s still a joy to experience the original office atmosphere. He even comments that the Middle East and the Gulf will take to the main character, Malik, just as well as they have with the main characters of the British and American versions.
Viewers Have Some Good Comments
Many people started asking where they could watch the new Saudi Arabian version of the show as they were excited to see how it played out. One person commented that although there was a language barrier, they got almost the same vibe. People couldn’t stop laughing even if they didn’t understand the words.
The Office has had many remakes all over the world. Viewers can enjoy Indian, Chilean, and French versions. And now there is the Saudi Arabian version which viewers can watch on Shahid later this year and enjoy the comical antics of the new crew!
